What we offer:
Blues Foundation uses rugby values and rugby based curriculum programmes to develop children and young people. Our programmes have been designed around the Bedford Blues values: Passion, Adaptability, Unity, Sustainability and Enjoyment. These values are an integral to help promote a positive mentality on the games field, in the classroom and at home.

We offer the below range of projects to schools and sports clubs:
Rugby & Reading:
Our flagship programme, Rugby and Reading, is designed to engage children in the benefits of reading and participating in sport. Our dedicated team deliver bespoke tasks and activities based on the action at Bedford Blues, alongside active tag rugby sessions. This programmes improves literacy as well as confidence, behaviour and self esteem, and provides a strong link between the classroom and values of rugby. KS1 and KS2 options available.

Rugby & Numbers:
Engage children in basic mathematics and numeracy, whilst participating in sport. Improves confidence, engagement, behaviour and provides a strong link between the classroom and values of rugby. KS1 and KS2 options available.

Curriculum TAg rugby:
Delivered by our professional coaches and players, our tag rugby lessons give children a chance to participate in competitive games, using basic principles suitable for attacking and defending. Tag Rugby is also great for promoting values such as respect and for helping children become physically confident and competent to support their health and fitness.

Mentoring:
Our tailored mentoring sessions focus on personal development, wellbeing and skill building to help those who may be struggling to reach their full potential through a love of sport. This programme is completed through a series of classroom-based activities, 1:1 conversations and physical activity sessions. Each pupil will have the opportunity to develop personal skills such as confidence, self esteem and promotes physical and mental wellbeing.
After School Clubs:
Provide extra-curricular activity with specialist sessions ran after the final bell. Registration and sign out included. We also help identify potential pathways for the children to enjoy sport outside of school.

Matchday experiences:
Matchday package at Bedford Blues home matches to form the welcome tunnel as the players run out on to the pitch. Includes a training session pre-match, talk with the players and certificates.
