Blues Foundation Charity Ball raises £15,000!

On October 25th, The CMC Marquee at Bedford Blues buzzed with energy and joy as 170 guests gathered for the Bedford Blues Foundation Charity Ball. The event was a grand celebration of the foundation’s work, which harnesses the power of rugby to support and inspire young people within the community. The night was a resounding success, raising a remarkable £15,000 to further the foundation’s impact.

Through its initiatives, the foundation engages young people in educational, mental health, and social programs that aim to build their resilience and self-esteem. The funds raised at the ball will go towards expanding these initiatives, ensuring more children and teenagers can benefit from the support and guidance the foundation provides.

The highlight of the evening came when trustees and staff of the Bedford Blues Foundation took to the stage to share heartfelt words. Their speeches were filled with gratitude and passion, acknowledging the unwavering support of sponsors, donors, and volunteers who make their work possible. They shared stories of the young lives transformed through the foundation’s projects, reaffirming the mission to keep growing and touching more lives.

A special mention was made to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the event and made the £15,000 goal achievable. The generous donations will directly benefit community programs, helping to expand outreach and create new opportunities for young people to develop their potential.

Adding a delightful spark to the night, guests were treated to the soulful and lively tunes of Funk Odyssey. The band’s performance kept the dance floor alive, creating a vibrant atmosphere and a joyful end to the evening. For those looking to test their luck, casino tables were set up, adding an element of excitement and entertainment.

The Bedford Blues Foundation Charity Ball proved to be a night of celebration, gratitude, and generosity. The funds raised will go a long way in ensuring the continuation of the foundation’s vital work in the community, using rugby as a catalyst for positive change.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and sponsored the event!
