Year long partnership with Oliver Landpower Ltd Agreed

Blues Foundation are delighted to announce a new partnership agreement with Oliver Landpower Ltd which sees another vehicle be made available to the team to continue to provide further growth opportunities within Bedfordshire.

Offering increased flexibility for staff and enhanced scope to reach even more individuals in need of support, Blues Foundation are excited about this next stage of development and being able to expand existing projects further afield as well as creating innovative new opportunities to support the needs of specific demographics.

Blues Foundation are proud of the impact achieved since launch just over two years ago but now access to another vehicle, similar to the one donated by Grafton Motorcycles in March, will mean engagement with even more people in need right the way across the county.

KEY STATISTICS ACHIEVED FROM BLUES FOUNDATION SINCE APRIL 2020:

  • Over 5000+ hours of physical activity delivered since July 2020

  • 40,000 items donated to Bedford Foodbank for Christmas 2020 and 2021

  • Over 5,500 meals delivered to vulnerable families and individuals

  • Flagship projects Tackle LIFE, INSPIRE & ABILITY Blues launched and piloted

  • Partnerships developed with Bedford Borough Council and Bedfordshire Police, supporting young people at risk of offending

  • Relationship built with Bedford College to deliver well-being and activity packages

  • Over 600 children aged 5 – 15 engaged with as part of our Summer Holiday Programmes

  • More families encouraged to exercise as part of our Families Fund Project

  • Bespoke physical activity project for Penrose Housing targeting the promotion of positive mental and physical health

Oliver Landpower Ltd are an established business with a heritage stretching nearly 200 years in Farming and farm machinery, diversifying since the mid 80's into professional turf care machinery and more recently into golf car sales, event hire and commercial vehicles including the award winning Isuzu D-Max range of pick-up trucks..

Operating from three locations with a trading area covering Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire; the ethos Oliver Landpower Ltd have of being a professional, family business is something Blues Foundation were keen to partner with.

Oliver Landpower  will give Blues Foundation access to a new Isuzu truck and will also support Bedford Blues with the implementation of a sponsorship board inside Goldington Road. The initial term for the agreement stands for one year, with the potential to grow exponentially in the future.

Head of Blues Foundation, Tom Harwood said: “Blues Foundation has continued to grow ever since becoming a charitable organisation two years ago, particularly in these most recent few months since merging with the Bedford Blues Community department.

“This growth coincides with an increased access to resources, and this is another critical junction for Blues Foundation, again enabling us to reach even more schools, community clubs and organisations who are keen to access the services we offer.

“A huge thank you to Oliver Landpower Ltd who have shown they share our vision and passion for furthering our support right out into the outskirts of Bedfordshire and beyond. We look forward to continuing our activation to inspire and change lives for the better.”
