Bedford Running Festival - Half Marathon Spaces Available!

Blues Foundation are proud to announce another year of charity partnership with Bedford Running Festival ahead of the flagship weekend event returning this September!

Last year, 19 runners raised over £2,200 for Blues Foundation with places in the Twilight 10k and the Bedford Half Marathon. This year, we have been given a limited number of places in all four events across the weekend – now meaning people can run the Bedford 20 Mile and 5k on behalf of our charity.

It is the latest step of progression for Blues Foundation who have agreed to again closely align with Bedford Running Festival as both organisations continue to champion and promote mental and physical health and wellbeing through exercise.

Blues Foundation Manager, Tom Harwood said:

“We were really proud to partner with Bedford Running Festival last year and have so many partaking across the weekend raising valuable funds for our charitable work. This grew exponentially with the recent Blues Foundation Bedford 10k, and we hope to see the trajectory continue to increase further this September.

“We’re really keen to hear from people considering running on our behalf and I encourage everyone to contact me who is interested. Having places in all races this year will hopefully again allow to converse directly with more people and we’re really excited for the 2022 Bedford Running Festival – just four weeks before the London Marathon!”

All runners who officially represent Blues Foundation will receive a running vest designed for the event. You can still fundraise for our charity if you’ve already secured your spot, with every single penny raised going to support our flagship activation to impact on the lives of as many vulnerable people as possible across Bedfordshire.

An official Blues Foundation Runner will receive:

  • A limited-edition Blues Foundation running vest designed especially for the event.

  • Fundraising support from Blues Foundation including social media promotion.

  • Access to Race Roster and their fundraising platform.

  • A Bedford Running Festival goodie bag.

Sponsorship and fundraising:

  • We ask all our runners to raise £250 in sponsorship to support our charity.

  • All the money raised will go towards our work supporting people in Bedfordshire access sport, exercise and education. We want to change the lives of as many people as possible and every penny raised will have a positive impact.

  • Our charity spaces are limited, so please register your interest ASAP and get in touch if you are interested in representing us.
