Following a thorough recruitment process, Blues Foundation are pleased to confirm that Angela Novell has joined the Board of Trustees as Education Lead.

Blues Foundation and Angela began working together in February 2020 during the charity’s pilot programme with MK Snap, of which Angela has been Chief Executive Officer of the award-winning disability charity since 2018.

MK Snap were awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service in 2020, the equivalent of an MBE for voluntary organisations and Blues Foundation are delighted to continue working with them on future activation.

Angela is also a former Director of Education at MK Dons Sport & Education Trust based at StadiumMK for 11 years and was heavily involved with the development of the education and sports offer for the trust. This included the delivery of a range of community based programmes, building a wealth of experience which will prove invaluable for Blues Foundation moving forwards into future projects and activities.

Included in her resume are also becoming founder president of Soroptimist International MK, Finalist in MK Women Leaders Awards and Winner of National Business Women’s Awards 2019 Third Sector Champion.

On joining Blues Foundation, Angela said:

“I am delighted and honoured to be joining the Board of Trustees at Blues Foundation, particularly at such an exciting time for the future of the charity and I look forward to working with the team.”

While Angela joins the Board of Trustees, we are sad to announce that Alex Falcon-Huerta has taken the decision to stand down from the Board to focus on other working commitments.

All at Blues Foundation would like to thank Alex for all her hard work during her 18 months’ service, supporting the set-up of a robust financial structure for our fledgling charity and wish her luck with all her future endeavours.
