iPad donation from Canoe Trail to support future projects
Blues Foundation are delighted that Bedfordshire business, Canoe Trail have donated of two brand new iPads to support our work.
With a particularly busy Festive period just around the corner, the addition of further available technology will hugely help Blues Foundation conduct future projects and flagship activation, using the digital devices as key engagement tools both in and out of sessions.
The donation follows the hugely successful digital device campaign in partnership with former High Sheriff of Bedfordshire, Susan Lousada to ensure that educational facilities and especially people without any other forms of technology were able to access education online, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns.
Over 1,800 devices were distributed throughout Bedfordshire thanks to the scheme; click here to read more on the campaign.
Like Blues Foundation, whose flagship projects continue to make a huge impact in the local community through the promotion of healthy physical and mental health, Canoe Trail are also a pioneer for the positive impact which sport and exercise can have on people’s lives.
Based out of Kempston Outdoor Centre, Canoe Trail provide a whole host of outdoor educational opportunities; all the way from water sports, land-based teambuilding activities and international expeditions.
In a further joint venture between the two organisations, Canoe Trail have also become supporters of the flagship activation, Tackle LIFE which has recently restarted at Goldington Road, home of Bedford Blues RFC. Click here for more details on the project.
The award winning, family business will offer support for participants on the course as required, providing alternative physical activities and sports to encourage some of Blues Foundation’s core values; including but not limited to, teamwork, communication, resilience and wellbeing.
Blues Foundation would like to thank Canoe Trail for their support to this stage and very much look forward to working together further in the near future.
