Blues Foundation are excited to bring on board an Education Delivery Officer on a casual contract basis to support the work our charity does across Bedfordshire.
We are looking to recruit a passionate individual keen to support young people’s development help us increase our impact across Bedfordshire and surrounding areas. The role covers a number of different projects, allowing a vast amount of personal development, and will predominantly support our delivery programmes to ensure Blues Foundation can continue to have as big an impact in the local community as much as possible.
We deliver projects designed to improve wellbeing, create inclusive opportunities, and develop skills in young people. The successful applicant will play an instrumental role in achieving our aims, working with numerous people in Bedfordshire who are disadvantaged or would benefit from a health or educational intervention.
Responsibilities:
The Education Delivery Officer (EDO) will deliver on a variety of our flagship educational programmes, namely the INSPIRE and Tackle LIFE projects hosted at Goldington Road, home of Bedford Blues RFC, and other educational facilities in Bedfordshire and surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will be required to deliver a range of high quality and engaging sessions on these personal development programmes, which target promoting the positivity of physical and mental health. Typically, participants will be aged 12-25 and will be delivered across classroom and practical enrichment activities.
The Education Delivery Officer must be passionate about improving the lives of young people, as well as demonstrating Blues Foundation’s key values including reliability, trustworthy and hardworking.

Essential Skills & Experience:
Experience in delivering a wide variety of high-quality classroom and practical based activities, as well as flexibility to adapt to the needs and challenges presented by the variety of young people participating in our flagship activation.
Experience and ability of communicating professionally across different levels including young people, school and college professionals, funders, and other key partners.
Ability to deliver to a high standard and to the values of Blues Foundation, as well as an ability to contribute to wider work and impact of Blues Foundation in Bedfordshire.
Ability to work and deliver in a team environment, as well as individually. The successful candidate should be motivated and demonstrate a positive attitude towards the work of the Foundation.
Understanding and/or experience in the education sector, secondary and 16+ experience is desirable.
Ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues and learners.
