Further iPad donation from Fusion 2K Ltd

Blues Foundation would like to thank Fusion 2KLtd for a sizeable donation of iPads which has helped our charity continue to have a meaningful impact in the local community by affording more students access to technology and online learning.

Launched in January this year, the digital device campaign in partnership with former High Sheriff of Bedfordshire, Susan Lousada ensured that educational facilities and especially people without any other forms of technology were able to access education online, particularly in times of national lockdown.

Over 1,800 devices were distributed throughout Bedfordshire thanks to the campaign; and this donation from Fusion 2K follows a similar appeal from local business, Canoe Trail last week. Read more on that here.

Fusion 2K, who recently celebrated 30 years in business based in Bedford, specialise in all things the motor vehicle industry including account planning, project management and national events.

Having seen the initial appeal for digital devices earlier this year, the company have been collecting iPads and tablets no longer in use by their clients as well as some from their own inventory to allow Blues Foundation to continue their outreach to some of the county’s most vulnerable young people.

Yesterday, some of these iPads were delivered to Kempston Challenger Academy (see photo above) to ensure more students could access their online learning from home when required. This means they can learn new skills, access learning resources at any time, and continue to receive the best standard of education as possible.

Blues Foundation Manager, Tom Harwood said: “Thank you to Andy Inchley and his team at Fusion 2K for their donation of these digital devices. It was quite clear throughout the high point of the pandemic that there were issues associated with accessing technology from home and we have always wanted to play our part in tackling this problem.

“This challenge is yet to go away even though schools are back open and operational so these iPads will again go towards benefiting young people and their more readily available access now to online learning.”

Further donations across the county will be made in due course, make sure to continue checking our website for all the very latest news and updates as we continue to have as great an impact in our community as possible.
