Lockdown Family Activity Cards
Ensure you and the family look after your physical and mental wellbeing throughout the second lockdown by trying out some Street Games Activity Cards, designed specifically to promote positivity and regular exercise.
Did you know that regular exercise can lower the risk of Type 2 Diabetes, coronary heart disease and strokes by 35%? At times like these during the second national lockdown, it’s hugely important to focus on your wellbeing – we’re determined to help you maintain an active and healthy lifestyle throughout these uncertain times!
The RFU are promoting these activity cards by teaming up with one of the UK's leading 'sport for development' charities, Street Games, who are also motivated by changing lives and transforming communities using the power of sport.
Some of our own activation may be postponed temporarily during the second national lockdown but we are still determined to have an impact on as many lives as possible throughout this period; we’re delighted to share these Activity Cards for you and the family to work through from the comfort of home.
The Activity Cards have been designed to incorporate accessible everyday equipment found in the home, and can be played indoors, in your own garden or at a local open space providing all social distancing measures are maintained throughout.
There are 50 different Activity Cards to choose from so there’s plenty to keep you entertained during lockdown. Once you’ve completed all the activities, try and improve your score and speed then get more members of your family bubble involved!
Click here to download the Activity Cards – try and attempt at least one per day!
Don’t forget to send us any photography or video content of you and your family trialling out the Activity Cards and we will happily share across all our platforms. Blues Foundation can be found on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
Alternatively, you can send any media or ask questions about the activities by emailing Foundation Manager, Tom Harwood on info@bluesfoundation.org.uk.
