Blues Foundation become Kingfisher’s Charity of the Year

Blues Foundation are humbled to announce that they have been selected as The Kingfisher Bedford’s Charity of the Year, running from August 2024 for the next 12 months.

The Kingfisher – formerly known as The Barns Hotel – located on Cardington Road, underwent a large-scale renovation in 2022 and has returned to being a popular venue for Bedfordians and wider afield.

It is an extremely proud moment to be selected, and both Blues Foundation and The Kingfisher will look to work more collaboratively together across the next year.

This will begin on Saturday as Blues Foundation take centre stage at The Kingfisher’s Karnival, a family fun day featuring live music, inflatables, coconut shy and much more… there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Entry to the event is completely FREE and runs 12-8pm, stop by and the team! Full details can be found here.

Blues Foundation Manager, Tom Harwood said: “We are incredibly grateful to the team at The Kingfisher Bedford for choosing our charity to be the beneficiaries of their fundraising support for the next 12 months.

“We’re really excited to get involved with their Karnival festivities on Saturday, as well as many other additional events. This is another huge opportunity for us to showcase our charity to a wider audience

“The proceeds of The Kingfisher’s fundraising will again help us deliver bespoke activation across Bedfordshire to suit the needs of the community and most importantly, those who engage with our programmes to promote positive lifestyle choices.”
