Summer HAF projects across Central Bedfordshire
Blues Foundation are please to announce details for some upcoming Multi-Sport Activity Summer Holiday Provision across Central Bedfordshire to mark 12 months since the beginning of our delivery of Holiday and Food (HAF) projects.
Building on the fantastic success of similar projects throughout 2021 and so far this year, which have been delivered right the way across Central Bedfordshire Council and Bedford Borough Council, these programmes will again follow a similar pattern from other Blues Foundation holiday provision to try and have as great an impact as possible in the local community.
This Summer provision would not be possible without the support of Central Bedfordshire Council’s Holiday Activity and Food Fund, and we thank them for their continued funding to allow these projects to take place and permit us to keep inspiring those in our local area.
For this particular Summer, programmes will take place at two key locations in Central Bedfordshire which we have used before as central hubs for some of our flagship activation and external projects.
· Flitwick Football Centre (MK45 1BA) – 1st – 4th August, 10am-3pm each day.
· Sandy Sports Centre (SG19 1BL) – 8th – 11th August, 10am-3pm each day.
· Flitwick Football Centre (MK45 1BA) – 15th – 18th August, 10am-3pm each day.
· Sandy Sports Centre (SG19 1BL) – 22nd – 25th August, 10am-3pm each day.
Book your child onto our provision now!
Throughout each week, Blues Foundation will be providing a variety of fun and engaging multisport activities, enrichment games and team building exercises, as well as craft activities and inclusive and fun games.
As with our previous editions of this type of activation, these programmes are completely FREE for all children who receive income related free school meals. As part of the programme, a hot lunch will be provided every day, enabling all children to have access to physical activity and food throughout the holiday period.
If you are interested in this provision, there are also some paid for places for those not eligible through the scheme. Through the support of Central Bedfordshire Council, these places are available at a reduced rate. These can be booked by clicking here.
As a further part of the project, children will have the opportunity to create new friendships while in the supervision of trained and experienced staff. For all camps, children will need to come prepared for physical activity. All activities will take place indoors.
PLACES ARE LIMITED TO 30 PER CAMP SO DON’T HESITATE, BOOK NOW TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT!
