VACANCY | Casual Coaches Needed
Ahead of a busy period here at Blues Foundation, we have exciting opportunities to expand our workforce with casual coaching positions available throughout our school sport and holiday provision.
Successful applicants will join our existing Blues Foundation coaches in implementing a full suite of rugby and sport related programmes in schools, as well as delivering rugby camps and multi-sport activity camps across Bedford and Central Bedfordshire.
These roles are perfect for students at school or university who are looking to develop their skillset within sports coaching, and may have this time free to continue their development.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To work with and alongside Blues Foundation coaches.
Look after and keep children safe during activities.
Assist the lead coach in setting up and ensuring the courses are set out correctly.
Create fun and engaging lunchtime activities along with games throughout the day.
Supervise children over lunchtime and breaks.
Design and implement mini games into sessions.
Understand our safeguarding policies and the correct communication procedure.
Undertake a professional approach to the planning, preparation and execution of coaching and training sessions.
DESIRABLE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with large groups in a sporting environment
Level 2 NGB Coaching Qualification
Valid UK driving licence
Valid safeguarding certificate
First Aid qualified
ERCA or Level 2 Coaching in Rugby Union

Hourly rate / salary will be competitive and based on experience.
Anyone interested in joining the Blues Foundation coaching staff for the upcoming holiday period will be asked to attend a training day to become accustomed to our safeguarding policies and correct communication procedures.
