Dean Adamson becomes latest Blues Foundation Ambassador
Blues Foundation are delighted to announce that perennial Bedford Blues try scorer, Dean Adamson has agreed to become the latest Ambassador of our charity.
The flying winger – who recently ascended to 5th in the all-time Blues try scoring ranks – is going to be a huge asset for the charity moving forwards and will play a key role in affecting our provision delivered across Bedfordshire, specifically with rugby but wider afield with multisport as well.
Bedford born Adamson has spent the majority of his rugby career within Bedfordshire and has already played an active part in Blues Foundation’s output to date with a keen eye and ear towards proceedings at Goldington Road since our launch as an official charity.
Named in the Championship Dream Team last season, the second time in his career, Adamson is one of the most notorious names in the second-tier and is very welcome at the charity. We are delighted to have him on board!
Blues Foundation Manager, Tom Harwood said: “Dean is synonymous with Bedford Blues and this town so it’s hugely humbling to have him on board with us as the latest Foundation Ambassador.
“His relevance and position as a role model for many Bedfordians is crucial and being from Bedford himself, Dean will know first-hand of some of the challenges experienced within the town and offer solutions of how we can tackle these in our provision and impact activation.
“We have now amassed a wealth of experience amongst our Ambassadors and knowledge stretching across multiple spheres which is extremely exciting in terms of our future development. The future is bright and I’m excited to see what we can do as a charity.”
