murraYoung increase support to Blues Foundation

Blues Foundation are delighted to announce that local accountancy firm murraYoung have extended and increased their support to our charity, which sees them retain their space in our Starting XV initiative and become headline sponsors of one of our key extra-curricular activities.

Back in September 2021, murraYoung began their fundraising support of Blues Foundation and have since grown this exponentially with support of our Charity Race Night, assistance at the Blues Foundation Bedford 10k and much more over the past 15 months.

They will now also become the title sponsor of our ‘Rugby & Numbers’ provision which is delivered to multiple schools and educational facilities across Bedfordshire and brings together numeracy alongside the key aspects we hold very close in the rugby world.

Blues Foundation Manager, Tom Harwood said: “Andy and Julie Smart from murraYoung have been a pleasure to deal with ever since they came on board with charitable support over a year ago. The time they both give up supporting our events is greatly appreciated by everyone at Blues Foundation.

“Since our merger with Blues Community last year, the Rugby & Numbers project is something we have looked to expand upon and grow because it is such a vital resource to support children up and down the county. This additional support from murraYoung will allow us to put those principles into practise and we look forward to showcasing the results with everyone very soon.”

Established in 1997, murraYoung is an independent firm of Chartered Accountants operating from Luton.

From the beginning, the firm has aspired to be different from “traditional” accountancy organisations, based on the principle of giving clients unprecedented care and attention in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, while still offering the highest possible standards of service.

Andy Smart of murraYoung commented: “We are thrilled to be able to expand our support of Blues Foundation during 2023. The ‘Rugby & Numbers’ provision is an obvious fit and we are delighted to be able to support the programme, whilst continuing our involvement in other areas’’
