Race Night Success!
Blues Foundation are extremely thankful to announce that close to £1,950 was raised at last week’s Charity Race Night at The Burrow at the Blues.
The first fundraising event of 2023, with many more in the pipeline for later in the year, more than 70 people packed out The Burrow for a high-octane evening featuring eight races and multiple entries into our specially designed ‘Winner’s Enclosure’ for the chance to win the Grand Prize on the night.
The total raised far exceeded our expectations, and included a £500 increase compared to last year’s event, and we would like to thank every single person who attended for giving so generously to our charity and allowing Blues Foundation the opportunity to continue our flagship activation well into the future with some exciting plans in the pipeline.
WHAT THE PROCEEDS WILL SUPPORT:
At Blues Foundation, we’re extremely proud to have launched some key flagship activations to directly help vulnerable or people in need across Bedfordshire. And with these playing vital parts in 2023 again, they need further funding support.
And there is so much new resource and material that Blues Foundation would like to tap into and utilise moving forwards – the proceeds of the Race Night will go towards this, alongside some other fundraising opportunities that are yet to be announced.
Blues Foundation would like to say a special mention to murraYoung and the FECCers for helping to sponsor the event and in particular to Andy & Julie Smart for their support on the night to ensure a seamless race meet took place.
Further thanks go to those who donated prizes for the evening; we are extremely grateful to everyone for their support.
Blues Foundation Manager, Tom Harwood said: “Fundraising events such as the Race Night are vital for our charity both in terms of an additional financial support to help us continue running our activation, but also further promote our brand and how we can continue to make a difference in the local community.
“It was another fantastic evening and we’re extremely grateful for the support. Please do check our website and social media channels to checkout our upcoming events and how you can get involved and support the work of Blues Foundation.”
